En el presente trabajo se analiza la estructura del cuento neoindigenista “La muerte de los Arangoâ€, que desarrolla el tema de los estragos causados por una epidemia de tifus que aniquila a las poblaciones que encuentra a su paso,causando muerte y desolación. También se destaca la pervivencia de  elementos y manifestaciones culturales de la sociedad andina, incorporadas a la sociedad moderna. En el análisis se sigue la metodología propuesta por Antonio Cornejo Polar en su trabajo “Estructura del texto literarioâ€.

ABSTRACT

In this present work, the structure of the neoindigenist tale The death of the Arango is analyzed, which develops the theme of the ravages caused by a typhus epidemic thatannihilates the populations it encounters, leaving death and desolation. It alsohighlights the survival of elements and cultural manifestations of Andean society,incorporated into modern society. In the analysis, the methodology proposed by Antonio Cornejo Polar in his work Structure of the literary text is followed.
