Go anywhere, look anywhere, and one will observe that there are literally over a thousand beauty brands on the market now. There are so many options, picking the right skincare products may be a little impossible. I am going to help you to narrow down the options by applying a simple filter of what may be important in choosing skin care products. I can remove most of the brands by checking that the items are from a brand that is; independently-owned, are toxin-free, and are cruelty free. These are key values that we all share and we all support from a business.Independently-owned brands are brands that have not received any external money in exchange for a perecent of ownership of the brand. These brands are typically refered to as Indie brands. There are many Indie brands around the country that exist on a small basis due to their smaller size. Plus there are a few Indie brands which are forcing the trend and have succeeded into a nationwide existence. There are additionally a few Indie brands that are chasing the goal of becoming globally-traded. One such brand in the Indie market is Russell Organics. The brand is succeeding across all beauty channels from mass beauty to prestige. Russell Organics is also internationally distributed, with a publicly stated goal of becoming the first globally distributed Indie brand. If choosing an Indie brand be wary of not disclosed outside investors. We have checked, and nearly all of the bigger so-called Indie brands have received external investors.
The next filter for choosing a great skincare product is it being toxin-free. What does this actually mean? There are thousands of chemicals, botanical ingredients, waxes, and extracts used to create products. Several of these ingredients are synthetic chemicals that have been shown to be toxic to human beings and to the environment. Russell Organics is heading the Clean Beauty trend by never using toxic ingredients and by fully listing every ingredient in every product. Look on your own. Look at products. Do you see ingredients listed as parfum? Did you realize that perfume may have over 700 chemicals and you wouldn not ever realize which ones? Talk about a dangerous situation. Have you ever walk into a room and smell a perfume and immediately have water eyes and begin to sneeze? These are the harmful chemicals that can also be hiding in your skincare products. A fantastic resource to check on ingredients is Environmental Working Group that has made a robust compilation of ingredients and disclosed their toxicity.
The remaining criteria is the brand being cruelty-free. What does cruelty free mean? There is a lot of misinformation about the phrase. Let us start by identifying that to be cruelty free, the brand needs to be a vegan beauty product. That means no animal derived ingredients such as dairy, honey, beeswax are never added in any product. That eliminates at least 95 percent of the brands in the market. The other issue for being cruelty free is having not tested products on animals. Every one of the global mass skin care brands have tested on animals. This chasing of profits at the expense of killing animals is not excusable and should not be supported by using their products.
In closing, these simple key filters will assist you to narrow down the list of selections to those brands that are worthy of your support. From there it will be a simple process of choosing the right skincare product for your complexion.
