RESUMEN

Estas notas reflexivas sobre memoria e identidad se hacen a partir de una lectura y análisis actual de Confesiones de san Agustín, conscientes de la preocupación contemporánea acerca de la memoria. El texto citado es de la traducción de Confesiones realizada por Agustín Uña Juárez, Editorial Tecnos, 5ª edición, Madrid, 2012, versión que sigue de cerca a la edición bilingüe de Ãngel Custodio Vega, BAC, Madrid, 1998, la que también se tuvo a la vista. Advertimos en este artículo cómo la memoria reúne y congrega íntegramente a la persona humana, la hace consciente para interpretarse a sí misma, agradecer, ponderar el dolor o reconciliarse consigo. Es que, en la memoria autoconsciente, nos encontramos con la identidad propia, tanto personal como comunitaria. Lectura fecunda y con mucho sentido para la cultura de nuestro tiempo. Abstract

These reflective notes about memories and identities are made up on the basis of a current reading and analysis from Confessions by Saint Augustine, being conscious about the concerns of memory nowadays. The text cited corresponds to the translation of Confessions carried out by Agustín Uña Juárez, Editorial Tecnos, 5th edition, Madrid, 2012. This version is closely related to the bilingual edition by Ãngel Custodio Vega, BAC, Madrid, 1998, which was also revised. In this article we pay close attention to how memory gathers and congregates entirely to the human being, how it makes them conscious, in order to fathom themselves, be grateful, overcome grief or reconcile with themselves. Since, it is in the self-consciousness that we find with our own identity both, personal and collective. Rich reading with a lot of sense for the culture of our time.
