RESUMEN

El presente artículo tiene como intención explicar las situaciones jurídicas e históricas que antecedieron a la promulgación del Código de Derecho Canónico de 1983 por su Santidad, el Papa Juan Pablo II. Más de treinticinco años después aún sigue despertando interés el estudio de este código, ya que conocer bien el derecho canónico y aplicarlo fielmente es imprescindible para que  cada persona en la Iglesia sea plenamente respetada en su dignidad de conformidad a nuestra carta magna. Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación de carácter cualitativo y de reflexión en torno a las instituciones del Derecho Canónico, que forma parte del curso de Historia del Derecho, utilizando la bibliografía del propio autor, así como las fuentes de diversos autores nacionales e internacionales. ABSTRACT

This article is intended to explain the legal and historical situations that preceded the promulgation of the Code of Canon Law of 1983 by His Holiness Pope John Paul II, who at 32, is still attracting interest in its study, and to know Although the canon law is faithfully and apply essential for each person in the Church, it is fully respected in their dignity in accordance with our Constitution.
