Abstract
Argemone subfusiformis G. B. Ownbey is a species that has numerous medicinal properties. There are few contributions on the anatomy of the vegetative organs and it is unknown the histology of the flower and the fruit. In order to achieve a correct identification of A. subfusiformis and provide useful anatomical evidence for adequate quality control, we examined the internal structure of leaves, stems, roots, flowers and fruits. Botanical and hygienic-sanitary quality control of samples from different stores was performed.
Keywords: Medicinal herb, anatomical evidence, laticifers.
