Diseño y dimensionamiento de una red de datos convergente bajo una infraestructura de cableado estructurado para el campamento nuevo de la Mina Constancia Design

Resumen

This research was carried out in order to provide access to various computer servicesto users who will occupy the new camp of the Constancia mine. For this, a convergentdata network was designed and sized under a structured cabling infrastructure. Thenecessary information on the existing network and data services, computer needs andrequirements of personnel, environments and buildings that will be part of the "NewCamp" and the bandwidth required by the services that will be transmitted throughthe convergent data network, was compiled. Then, the design of the data networkwas made. With the previous analysis and calculation, a communication networkarchitecture proposal was elaborated; the appropriate connectivity equipment wasselected on the basis of a comparison of proposed equipment, selection of elementsand structured cabling accessories; and, for the security of the information, the creationof groups of networks was planned that would be assigned according to the needs ofeach area. The approximate total cost of the data network is shown. The convergenttechnology provides important benefits to an institution, one of which is the economicone, due to the integration of the services in a single network infrastructure. Thehierarchical network model is characterized by effectively determining the potentialcritical points, isolating the vulnerabilities of the network segments, differentiatingthe function of each level that makes it up, facilitating the scalability, administrationand management of the network; In addition, the network was designed to be flexibleand scalable, with which it can grow without any inconvenience and without affectingthe services offered.Keywords: design, convergent network, structured cabling.o.
