La loma del Cerro Ochiputur es la menos estudiada de las lomas ubicadas en la región La Libertad. Esta comunidad es, sin embargo, profusamente rica en términos de biodiversidad por lo que merece ser estudiada con mayor profundidad a nivel inter-disciplinario. El presente documento es resultado de exploraciones realizadas a la Loma del Cerro Ochiputur desde junio del 2004 y reporta por primera vez su flora y fauna: 15 familias, 29 géneros y 34 especies de vegetales; 3 clases, 10 familias y 11 especies de vertebrados. El autor espera que este primer estudio de la flora y fauna de la Loma de Ochiputur sirva como punto de partida para motivar la investigación, conservación y difusión de esta comunidad natural.

Abstract

The hill of the mountain Ochiputur is the least studied with respect to other hills located in La Libertad Region. However, this community is profusely rich in terms of biodiversity consequently it deserves to be studied in greater depth at an interdisciplinary level. The present document is the result of explorations carried out in the Ochiputur hill since June 2004 and reported for the first time its flora and fauna: 15 families, 29 genres and 34 species of plants; 3 classes, 10 families and 11 species of vertebrates. The author of this document hopes that this first study of the flora and fauna of the hill of the mountain Ochiputur will be the starting point to motivate the research, conservation and diffusion of this natural community.
