LA TESIS DE POSTGRADO: CONCEPCIÓN DEL MARCO TEÓRICO

Abstract

Resumen

Una de las etapas científico-metodológico en la elaboración de la Tesis Doctoral o de Maestría es la con­cepción del Marco Teórico. Se lo concibe como un conjunto de ideas que permite organizar los datos de la realidad para lograr que de ellos puedan desprenderse nuevos conocimientos. Permite al investigador concebir con coherencia su problema original, ampliando teórico y metodológicamente sus hipótesis a demostrarse, como a su vez se constituye en un marco de referencia para poder interpretar sus resultados.

Obliga al investigador a realizar una minuciosa pesquisa de la literatura científica, tanto de estudios y tra­bajos de investigación o experiencias relacionadas con la investigación, al ser presentados como los ante­cedentes, informando sucintamente acerca del estudio, el autor o autores, presentar una breve descripción del trabajo y las conclusiones a las cuales se arribaron. Así como también de aquellas que contengan las bases científicas, las cuales deberán ser presentadas como una exposición sintética de la teoría científica que da fundamento a la investigación.

En el marco teórico, el investigador se propone explicar con originalidad su objeto de estudio apoyándose en teorías, conceptos, axiomas, modelos teóricos, modelos empíricos, conocimientos científicos, defini­ciones, fundamentos teóricos, corrientes de investigación, proyectos e investigaciones documentadas. También obliga demostrar competencias metodológicas en el diseño de su estructura y, lingüísticas en su estilo de redacción científica. Deberá ser organizada en los siguientes pasos lógicos: a) investigaciones relacionadas con el estudio, b) bases teórico-científico y, c) definición de términos básicos.

Abstract

The first scientific-methodological stage in the development of the masters or doctoral thesis is the conception of its theoretical framework—the set of ideas that will be the basis of the investigations and ultimately lead new knowledge. This allows the researcher to expand their theoretical and methodological understanding of the problem and conceive of new ideas that lead to a central hypothesis to prove based on empirical results.

It is obligation of the researcher to conduct a thorough investigation of the scientific literature—both pre­vious studies and research or research-related experiences. These are to be presented as the background material, which briefly summarizes previous studies and their authors, and to provide a brief description of the conclusions that were arrived at. These shall be presented to assist in synthesizing a scientific theory that gives substance to the investigation.

In the theoretical framework, the researcher should explain the subject and how the work is original, relying on theories, concepts, axioms, theoretical models, empirical models, scientific knowledge, defi­nitions, theoretical foundations, current research, and previous literature on the subject. The researcher should also describe the scientific methodologies that were utilized to design and carry out the investiga­tions in formal, scientific prose. The dissertation should be organized into the following logical sections: a) research related to the study, b) scientific and theoretical foundations, and c) definition of basic terms.
