The Asteraceae (= Compositae) cultivated inPeru

We present the first document on Asteraceae cultivated in Peru, with 53 species in 37 genera.
44 species are introduced from Asia, Mesoamerica, Europe, Africa and Australia, and only nine
are native to South America. Seven species are new records for the Peruvian flora. The species are
mostly of herbaceous habit and categorized as ornamental.
