Abstract

Is describe and illustrated Armatocereus cologonus y Opuntia macbridei (Cactaceae) two fruits from
Andes of Peru. Armatocereus oligogonus Rauh & Backeb. is found Lambayeque region and La
Libertad region, Peru, between 300-2000 m de elevation, its fruits are exquisite edibles. Opuntia
macbridei Britton & Rose is found Amazonas, Piura, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Ancash and Apurimac,
its fruits are exquisite edibles. Data on geographic distribution, ecology, conservation status and
uses of the species are included.
