Competencias sobre materia ambiental en la formación del arquitecto orientadas al desarrollo de la ciudad sostenible

RESUMEN
En el presente estudio se determinaron los saberes y competencias necesarios para la Formación del Arquitecto en materia ambiental, utilizando a la Ciudad Sostenible como paradigma educativo desde tresperspectivas: 1) objeto y fuente de conocimiento, 2) entorno educativo y 3) apoyo didáctico. Se identificaron las características válidas de la ciudad como ambiente de aprendizaje y se analizaron sus bases teóricas y epistemológicas en sus dimensiones pedagógica y ecológica. Para el análisis y propuesta, se utilizaron las categorías empleadas en el Informe Delors (1996) de los denominados cuatro pilares de la educación: 1)aprender a conocer, 2) aprender a hacer, 3) aprender a vivir juntos, y 4) aprender a ser; como fundamentos integradores del conocimiento (ciencia) y de su aplicación (tecnología) en un sentido amplio, que abarca aspectos humanísticos: los valores sociales y la identidad cultural. Con este enfoque, se evaluaron las competencias en materia ambiental desarrolladas por los estudiantes de Arquitectura de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, y se planteó la importancia de formular un Modelo de Formación Ambiental del Arquitecto. La propuesta del Modelo para la Formación Ambiental del Arquitecto exigió que se reconozca la importancia y necesidad de un enfoque integrador y de transversalidad, considerando la dimensión ambiental en la formación profesional del arquitecto, que se fundamenta en el paradigma de la Ciudad Sostenible, cuyas categorías pedagógicas se deben organizar bajo las concepciones de la Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible, la Pedagogía Crítica, la Ecopedagogía, el Constructivismo y el Aprendizaje Significativo con el enfoque de competencias.

ABSTRACT
In this study, the knowledge and necessary competences for the Architect's formation were determined,using the Sustainable City as an educational scenario, from three perspectives: 1) object and source of knowledge, 2) educational environment, and 3) didactic support. This investigation identified the valid characteristics of the City as an environment of learning and analyzed the theoretical and epistemologicalbasis of the city as educational scenario in its pedagogic and ecological dimensions. For the analysis and proposal, the categories of the Report Delors (1998), denominated four pillars of the education: 1) learn howto know, 2) learn how to make, 3) learn how to live together, and 4) learn how to be, were used as integrative fundamentals of the knowledge (science) and of its application (technology) in a wide sense that includes the humanistic with social values and a cultural identity. With this approach the environmental competences developed by the students of architecture, in the case of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, were evaluated and proposed as a Model for the Environmental Formation of the Architect. The Model for the Environmental Formation of the Architect should give priority to the importance and necessity of incorporating an integrative and transverse approach, the environmental dimension in the Professional Formation of the Architect. It would be based on the philosophy of the Integrated, Ecological and Socio-Critical Paradigms; the theory of the Sustainable City, whose pedagogic categories must be organized under the conceptions of the Education for the Sustainable Development, the Critical Pedagogy, the Eco-pedagogy,the Constructivism, and the Significant Learning with the approach of competences.
